They’re also an online community in the pursuit of optimal health and wellness. Here you can use heath calculators and fitness reports to keep your goals in sight, and share with a great online community in the forums.

Tec Laboratories, Inc. is an OTC pharmaceutical manufacturer that specializes in innovative topical applications Since 1977. LiceFreee! and Staph-A-Septic are a few of their popular brands. They required an updated look and structure to their site to accommodate their growing business. This is one of Our Umbraco for Commerce projects, and TecLabs has been flying with it ever since launch.

My task was to create an entire new visual system for TecLabs, and integrate the new design into the Umbraco CMS.

Da Vinci Days Web Design

Posted by Alan On March - 31 - 2011

Da Vinci Days is an awesome festival in Corvallis, Oregon where participants build insane contraptions called “Kinetic Sculptures”. These sculptures are hand-made and human-powered vehicles that withstand the test of road, mud, sand, water, and unbridled creativity. It really is an experience watching these things spin, bounce, slide, and glide around town. There’s community art, poetry, science exhibits, great music and great food for three full days and nights.

It was my task at ProWorks to create the design for this site, embracing the handicraft feeling of the event. The background artwork changes every year, and is made into posters. This year Santiago Uceda created something vibrant and whimsical.

forest seedling network

forest seedling network

The Forest Seedling Network is a Pacific Northwest website connecting forest landowners with seedling providers, forest management services and contractors. It’s run by Bob McNitt. Pine tree seedlings can be posted for sale by vendors that sign up on the site. Development of this web project is by Jason Prothero of ProWorks, using Sitecore Content Management System. The design is by myself. I strived for a clean, inviting, and professional “earthy” look.

Wasatch Funds

Wasatch Funds

Wasatch Funds

Disclaimer: I did not create the design of this website, the design was created by Candesa.

This project is live at wasatchfunds.com.

Together with the lead developer Jason Prothero, whom I work with at ProWorks Corporation, we took the Photoshop page designs and turned them into a complete, easily updatable website using the Sitecore content management system.

My role in this project was to convert those Photoshop designs from Candesa into the necessary elements to show on a web page. Pixel precision was a strict requirement and my job was to ensure the final web pages look exactly like the prototype design. Along with Jason, my job was also to create the page elements in Sitecore, so the client can easily update…just about anything! For instance, adding a new fund will be a snap; they just enter the data in the correct fields, upload images, and everything displays as it should and links stay intact across the site. Jason and I worked very closely with Candesa and Wasatch Funds in this 6 month project.

GetVitals Website

GetVitals web design

GetVitals web design

GetVitals.com is a brainchild of the guys I work with at ProWorks Corporation. It is a really cool person and organization search tool that weeds out all the crap you would possibly get from a regular Google search. GetVitals speed-reads all the relevant pages and spits back only the good nuggets of info that you can save and manage. My responsibilities on this project were to create the entire identity and design throughout the site, and implement it into HTML / CSS.
