This lithograph print was created on a slab of limestone. The technique is called “reduction”, where the slab is covered in ink to start with, and the artwork is scraped away with a knife. The process is quite volatile (for me anyway) and I only managed 3 prints from this edition.

St. Clare is a lithograph made on a huge chunk of limestone. 9 prints came out of this edition, and this particular one I colored in pencils. St. Clare has done away with her traditional secular surroundings and replaced them with a kickin’ sound system and an iPod Classic. Putti follow in cue with the headphones.
