This nebula and earth-like planet were created in Photoshop from scratch and from my over-active imagination. This planet is basking in the radiance of the distant nebula that is so huge it fills the heavens.
This spacescape is a rendering of the Earth and Moon during the Early Jurassic period, according to and for lunarorigin.com. The challenge was to create an ultra-realistic scene while adhering to Tom Powell’s vision of how the Moon looked at that stage, with lava-filled basins and a much closer distance to the Earth.
